Flu – Why isn't it just a "cold"?
Influenza is a common viral disease that can have serious complications not only in seniors, but also in children and young people. One of the most serious complications is viral inflammation of the heart muscle - myocarditis. It can also occur in children without an otherwise serious course of the flu and cause heart rhythm disorders, heart failure or sudden cardiac death. In young children, there is a risk of dehydration, febrile convulsions or pneumonia. Vaccination against influenza is the most effective protection and is recommended for everyone from 6 months of age. Children under 9 years of age who are vaccinated for the first time are given two doses 1 month apart, after which one dose per year is sufficient. We also vaccinate parents - do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to help protect your entire family.
